Who are we?
Flag Fiesta is the vision of New Zealand based artist Margot Trocchi.
Started in 2005, Flag Fiesta was born from Margot's desire to bring more colour and beauty to the world. Each flag bares no symbol and is created from a careful selection of handpicked fabrics, many of which are up-cycled, and thoughtfully designed into her works of art.
Since its inception Flag Fiesta has become synonymous with New Zealand music festivals and events. From Home Grown to Northern Base and Rhythm and Vines, Flag Fiesta’s grand art installations have brought festival grounds to life for the past decade. Blazing colour across horizon lines, decorating art trails and creating a halo of colour at many a stage, it now never quite ‘feels’ like a festival without a Flag Fiesta flag in the sky.
With an eye for transforming any blank canvas into brilliance, Margot and the Flag Fiesta team is also in demand to decorate events, weddings and parties.
As well as installations and event decorating, Flag Fiesta can be found at many local arts and crafts markets around the Auckland region. Here she sells individual flags that can be purchased and taken home to create your own little piece of backyard magic.
